The Missouri Mavericks' Sebastien Thinel had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-1 win over the Rapid City Rush. Thinel scored at 11:49 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Missouri and again while 11:02 into the second to make the score 3-1 Missouri.The win by Missouri clinched the best of seven series at 4-2. The Mavericks made Rapid City's goaltenders to work between the pipes, totaling 31 shots and forcing 26 saves. Tim Boron made 20 stops and Danny Battochio made six. Missouri additionally got points from Kellen Tochkin, who also registered two goals and three assists and Kenton Miller, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Missouri were Kyle Hood, who had one and Ryan Jardine, who had two. The Rush relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Jared Brown, Scott Wray and Rusty Masters took 14 of the team's 25 shots. In addition, Rapid City received assists from Kyle Peto and Dan Gendur, who each chipped in one. Mathieu Corbiel recorded 24 saves for Missouri.
