Quad City falls to Fort Worth in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Fort Worth Brahmas pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the Quad City Mallards on a clutch goal by Colin Mulvey.

After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Quad City faces elimination next time out.

Fort Worth was sparked by Mulvey, who grabbed one goal. Mulvey scored 10:32 into overtime to make the score 3-2 Fort Worth. Ross Rouleau picked up the assist.

The Brahmas' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Quad City power plays. The Mallards were unable to stop Fort Worth from sending pucks towards the net, and the Brahmas eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Eric Tallent also scored for Fort Worth. More assists for Fort Worth came via Shawn Szydlowski and John Snowden, who contributed one a piece.

Quad City kept Fort Worth's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kristofer Westblom made 32 saves on 34 shots.

The Mallards were led by Anthony Perdicaro, who had one goal and one assist. Perdicaro scored 9:17 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Shayne Toporowski assisted on the tally. Quad City also got a goal from Mickey Lang as well. In addition, Quad City received assists from Matt Boyd and Matt Duffy, who each chipped in one.

The Brahmas incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Quad City's John Murray stopped 31 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Mallards incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. For Quad City, Lang was ejected from the game.
