Fort Worth's Klempa deadly on offense in 5-2 win against Allen

Tomas Klempa was all over the ice for the Fort Worth Brahmas, as he tallied two goals in Fort Worth's 5-2 win over the Allen Americans.

Klempa found the back of the net 2:27 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Fort Worth and again while short handed 7:46 into the third to make the score 3-1 Fort Worth.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 19:16 into the third period. Six fighting penalties were dished out along with three game misconducts.

The the Brahmas penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled nine minors and five majors for 53 minutes in penalty time. Fort Worth had been averaging 14.0 minutes in penalties per game. The 22 shots that the Brahmas put on net surpassed Fort Worth's average of 18.7 shots per game this season. The Brahmas surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Fort Worth has scored at the pace of 2.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

Fort Worth additionally got points from Austin Mayer, who also grabbed two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Fort Worth also got a goal from Ricky Helmbrecht as well. Other players who recorded assists for Fort Worth were Nick Schneider, who had two and Cole Ruwe, Mike Salekin, Sy Nutkevitch, Taylor McReynolds, and Calin Wild, who contributed one a piece.

Aaron Dell rejected 17 shots on goal for Allen. The Americans registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Allen ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Garrett Clarke was ejected from the game.
