Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, the Arizona Sundogs battled back to claim a 4-3 victory over the Wichita Thunder.

Arizona let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. The Sundogs took a 3-2 advantage on a goal by Sebastien Geoffrion at 16:34 in the second period. Arizona found itself down 2-0 after Wichita's Ian Lowe put the puck home at 16:12 in the first period. After evening things up at 3-3 on a goal by Matt Summers at 16:47 in the third, the Sundogs got the game-winner from Chad Nehring at 18:57 in the third period.

Nehring was all over the ice for Arizona, as he finished with two goals in the win.

With 30 shots on target during the contest, the Sundogs exceeded the 21.6 shots they average per game this year.

Arizona also got a goal from Kevin Baker as well. In addition, Arizona received assists from Matt McCready, Brian Bicek, Karl Linden, Ron Meyers, Cody Purves, Mario Larocque, and Derek LeBlanc, who contributed one a piece.

The Thunder managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Wichita finished below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. The Thunder's defensemen also contributed in the offensive zone and ended up with 10 shots between them.

Wichita was helped by Kevin Young, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Young scored on the power play 10:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wichita. The Thunder had gained a power play chance when Larocque was whistled for high sticking. RG Flath picked up the assist. Wichita additionally got points from Summers, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Wichita came via Chad Painchaud, Neil Trimm, and Matt Robinson, who each chipped in one.

Arizona's Adam Russo stopped 21 shots out of the 24 that he faced. The Sundogs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Torrie Jung made 26 saves for Wichita on 30 shots. The Thunder registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
