Quad City downs Missouri, 5-2

Anthony Perdicaro racked up two points to lead the Quad City Mallards to a 5-2 victory over the Missouri Mavericks.

Quad City was below its usual level of shot production, taking 20 shots compared to the 25.5 the Mallards average. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Quad City also got points from Michael Monfredo, who also had one goal and one assist. Derek Matheson also scored for Quad City. In addition, Quad City received assists from Mickey Lang, who had two and Bob Preece, Jason Kostadine, Mike Stinziani, and Shayne Toporowski, who each chipped in one.

The 35 shots that Missouri put on net surpassed the Mavericks' average of 24.0 shots per game this season.

Missouri was helped by Kenton Miller, who registered one goal. Miller scored 17:54 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Missouri. Andrew Courtney assisted on the tally. Missouri also got a goal from Ryan Jardine as well. More assists for Missouri came via Trevor Kell, Kellen Tochkin, and Sebastien Thinel, who contributed one a piece.

Neil Conway recorded 33 saves for Quad City. The Mallards totaled 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors and two majors and went 1-for-1 on the power play. Mike Clemente rejected 15 shots on goal for the Mavericks. Missouri totaled 12 minutes in penalty time with one minor and two majors and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
