Pelletier stymies Fort Worth, Bloomington wins 3-1

The Bloomington Blaze relied on the sparkling performance of Pier-Olivier Pelletier in net to grab a 3-1 win against the Fort Worth Brahmas.

Bloomington was led by Jon Booras, who finished with one goal and one assist. Booras scored 13:45 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Bloomington.

The Blaze excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. With 37 shots on target during the contest, Bloomington exceeded the 23.8 shots it averages per game this year.

Bloomington additionally got points from Steve Makway, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Matthew Larke, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Bloomington came via Nicklas Lindberg, who had one.

Fort Worth managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Brahmas finished below its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game. The 27 shots that Fort Worth put on net surpassed the Brahmas' average of 19.2 shots per game this season.

Fort Worth was led by Calin Wild, who scored the team's only goal. Wild scored 4:27 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Jake Morley assisted on the tally.

Pelletier recorded 26 saves for the Blaze. Bloomington incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors and had no power play opportunities. Brad Fogal made 34 saves for the Brahmas on 36 shots.
