The Fort Worth Brahmas relied on the scoring touch of John Snowden, who netted two goals, to beat the Tulsa Oilers, 6-2.

Snowden's tallies came at 17:42 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Fort Worth and 16:00 into the third to make the score 5-2 Fort Worth.

Fort Worth surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Brahmas average 3.0 goals per contest. By firing 36 shots on goal, Fort Worth exceeded the 17.2 shots it averages per game this year.

Fort Worth also got points from Gregg Eskedjian, who also registered one goal and one assist, Tomas Klempa, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Calin Wild, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Fort Worth also got a goal from Adam Hogg as well. More assists for Fort Worth came via Chad Woollard, who had two, Austin Mayer, who had three, and Cole Ruwe, Eric Tallent, and Ross Rouleau, who each chipped in one.

Tulsa excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The 26 shots that the Oilers put on net surpassed Tulsa's average of 21.2 shots per game this season.

The Oilers were led by Ryan Cramer, who racked up one goal and one assist. Cramer scored on the power play 3:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Tulsa. Tulsa earned a power play opportunity when Hogg was put in the box for hooking. Patrick Schafer picked up the assist. Mike Ullrich also scored for Tulsa. In addition, Tulsa received assists from Ryan Barlock, who had one.
