Booras nets hat trick, leads Bloomington to 6-3 win over ArizonaTims Toyota Center Fri, Dec 28, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Arizona Sundogs could not stop the Bloomington Blaze's Jon Booras, who tallied a hat trick in a 6-3 win. Booras notched his first tally 5:04 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:16 into the second and at 18:50 into the second.Bloomington made Sundogs' goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, launching 32 shots and forcing 26 saves. David Brown made 17 stops and Adam Russo made nine. The Blaze stifled Arizona's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Bloomington also got points from Tyler Gron, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Sebastien Trudeau also scored for Bloomington. Other players who recorded assists for Bloomington were Nicklas Lindberg, who had two, Steve Makway, who had three, and Aaron Dawson, Travis Granbois, Michael Trebish, and Matthew Larke, who each chipped in one. The Sundogs put 29 shots on net during the contest, more than the 19.5 they average per game. Arizona was helped by Ron Meyers, who registered one goal. Meyers scored 5:53 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jason Morgan assisted on the tally. Arizona also got a goal from Mike Glaicar as well. More assists for Arizona came via Kyle Schussler, Johan Ryd, and Chad Nehring, who contributed one a piece. Dan Dunn rejected 26 shots on goal for Bloomington. The Blaze incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Sundogs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
