Derek LeBlanc was all over the ice for the Arizona Sundogs, as he tallied two goals in Arizona's 6-3 win over the Missouri Mavericks. LeBlanc scored at 14:40 into the third period to make the score 3-3 and again while 19:13 into the third to make the score 5-3 Arizona.The Sundogs outdid their season average for goals scored. Arizona averages 2.6 goals per game. By firing 47 shots on goal, the Sundogs exceeded the 17.2 shots they average per game this year. Arizona also had goals scored by Jake Hauswirth, who had two and Jason Morgan and Matt Tassone, who each put in one. More assists for Arizona came via Karl Linden, who had two and Adam Smyth, Chad Langlais, Ron Meyers, Chad Nehring, and Adam Chorneyko, who contributed one a piece. Missouri forced Arizona goalie David Brown to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. The Mavericks were led by John-Scott Dickson, who tallied one goal and one assist. Dickson scored 11:29 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Missouri. Colt King picked up the assist. Brandon Smith also scored for Missouri. Other players who recorded assists for Missouri were Dave Pszenyczny, Kyle Hood, Blake Forsyth, and Kenton Miller, who each chipped in one. The Sundogs' Brown stopped 33 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Arizona incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Mike Clemente rejected 41 shots on goal for Missouri. The Mavericks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
