Missouri rips Fort Worth, 4-1

The Missouri Mavericks were firing on all cylinders against the Fort Worth Brahmas, and when the final buzzer sounded Mavericks emerged with a 4-1 win.

Missouri was led by Sebastien Thinel, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Thinel scored on the power play 12:59 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Missouri. The Mavericks had taken the advantage when Fort Worth's Nick Schneider got sent off for handling the puck. Matt Krug assisted on the tally.

Missouri stifled the Brahmas' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Missouri also had goals scored by Andrew Courtney, who had one and Riley Emmerson, who had two. In addition, Missouri received assists from Brian Bicek, who had three and Matt McCready, Blake Forsyth, and Jamie VanderVeeken, who contributed one a piece.

Fort Worth was led by Sy Nutkevitch, who scored the team's only goal. Nutkevitch scored 10:17 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Missouri. Jake Morley provided the assist.

Mathieu Corbiel recorded 20 saves for the Mavericks. Missouri incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Brad Fogal took the loss and made 11 saves before being replaced by Kristofer Westblom who made 12 saves. The Brahmas incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
