Tim Boron made 37 saves to complete the shutout and led Rapid City to a 4-0 win against the Wichita Thunder.

Rapid City's penalty kill excelled, as Rapid City gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

Rapid City was paced by Jared Brown, who registered one goal and one assist. Brown scored 7:15 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Rapid City. Scott Wray picked up the assist.

Rapid City stifled Wichita's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Rapid City averages 27.9 shots on goal per game, but only sent 21 pucks on net against the Thunder. Rapid City was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. Rapid City allows 2.9 goals per game.

Rapid City additionally got points from Wray, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Jarrett Konkle, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. John Snowden also scored for Rapid City. Other players who recorded assists for Rapid City were Riley Weselowski, Damian Surma, Jordan Baker, and Garrett Gruenke, who contributed one a piece.

Wichita's offense operated below it season average. The Thunder average 4.0 goals per game. Wichita's defensemen also contributed in the offensive zone and ended up with 15 shots between them. The Thunder's offense rang up 37 shots on Rapid City's net.

Wichita was led by Chad Painchaud, who took six shots.

Rapid City incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Kevin Regan recorded 17 saves for the Thunder. Wichita incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
