Fort Worth falls to Tulsa in overtime, 1-0 (OT)

The Tulsa Oilers pulled out a 1-0 (OT) overtime victory over the Fort Worth Brahmas on a clutch goal by David Beauregard.

Beauregard's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 3:39 in the fourth period. Michel Beausoleil picked up the assist.

Tulsa was led by Beauregard, who registered one goal.

The Oilers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Fort Worth power plays. By firing 29 shots on goal, Tulsa exceeded the 25.0 shots it averages per game this year.

In addition, Tulsa received assists from Ryan Menei, who had one.

Fort Worth stifled the Oilers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Brahmas average 25.6 shots on goal per game, but only sent 16 pucks on net against Tulsa. Fort Worth was held below its usual level of production. The Brahmas average 2.1 goals per game. Fort Worth's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Brahmas finished with 20 penalty minutes.

Fort Worth was led by Phil Fox, who took three shots.

Ian Keserich recorded 16 saves for the Oilers. Tulsa totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-9 on the power play. The Oilers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mike Ullrich was ejected from the game. The Brahmas' Brad Fogal stopped 28 shots out of the 29 that he faced.
