Tulsa rolls over Texas, 6-0BOK Center Fri, Mar 23, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Tulsa Oilers were firing on all cylinders against the Texas Brahmas, and when the final buzzer sounded Oilers emerged with a 6-0 win. Tulsa was sparked by Dylan Clarke, who racked up one goal and one assist. Clarke scored 4:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Tulsa. Jeff Terminesi assisted on the tally. The Oilers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Tulsa surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Oilers average 3.1 goals per contest. By firing 35 shots on goal, Tulsa exceeded the 27.0 shots it averages per game this year. Tulsa also got points from Mike Ullrich, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Gary Steffes, who also tallied two goals and one assist. Tulsa also got a goal from Ryan Cramer as well. More assists for Tulsa came via Marty Standish, Sean Erickson, David Solway, Troy Ofukany, and Drew Fisher, who each chipped in one. The Brahmas were led by Sy Nutkevitch, who took four shots. Ian Keserich recorded 18 saves for the Oilers. Tulsa totaled 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors and went 2-for-5 on the power play. Texas' Mark Guggenberger stopped 29 shots out of the 35 that he faced.
