Sparling's hat trick boosts Laredo over Allen, 4-1

Allen could not stop the Laredo Bucks' Ryan Sparling, who tallied a hat trick in a 4-1 win.

Sparling got on the scoresheet 17:06 into the second period. He then added goals at 17:41 into the second and at 18:35 into the third.

Laredo was led by goalie Ryan Rondeau, who finished with 25 saves while allowing one goal. Rondeau certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.49 entering the contest.

The Bucks' defensemen also contributed in the offensive zone and ended up with 10 shots between them.

Greg Moore also scored for Laredo. More assists for Laredo came via Rusty Masters, Erik Boisvert, Matt Boyd, and A.J. Hau, who each chipped in one.

Allen could not produce up to it normal offensive output. Allen averages three goals per game. The defense for Allen played an important role offensively, racking up 11 shots on goal.

Allen was led by Jarret Lukin, who scored the team's only goal. Lukin scored 13:33 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Laredo. Jason Deitsch picked up the assist.

Laredo totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Marco Cousineau turned away 18 pucks between the pipes for Allen. Allen totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
