The 6-foot-1, 204 pound sophomore right-hander posted a 7.20 ERA in six appearances for the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs. In his freshman campaign, Brown threw five innings and walked just a batter while fanning five. As a senior at Arlington Heights High School, Brown earned a Perfect Game honorable mention All-American honors and was named to the First Team All-Region where he excelled as catcher for his high school team.
