Reed is coming off of his second season with the Cowboys, in which he appeared in 22 games, all out of the bullpen, finishing with a 4-1 record over 33 2/3 innings of work. He struck out 43 batters and held opposing batters to a .210 batting average this spring.
In junior college for Navarro College, he appeared in 16 games out of the bullpen, striking out 28 batters in 37 innings of work, and recording a 2.68 ERA.
While at Centennial High School, Reed was a two-year letter winner, a Perfect Game 2013 Texas All-Region Honorable Mention Performer, and played on regional and district championship teams. He is the son of Rodney and Susan Reed, and his career goal is to be a top three-round MLB draft pick.
