Jackson returns to the Atlantic League after starring for the past six years with Fargo-Moorhead of the American Association and previously of the Northern League.  A teammate and roommate of Patterson’s early in his career, Jackson was a third round draft choice of the Cubs in 2000 out of the University of Richmond, spending six years in the Cubs farm system including a full year at Triple-A Iowa as a 23-year-old in 2003.

Jackson first came to the Atlantic League in 2008 with Camden where he batted .333 with 16 home runs and 20 stolen bases for the Riversharks, while tying for second in the league with 36 doubles.  In the six seasons since with Fargo, Jackson has combined to bat .295 with 73 home runs and 106 steals for the RedHawks.  The left-handed batter took home Northern League MVP honors in 2009 and American Association MVP accolades in 2012.  Combining totals from his 14-year-pro career, the 35-year-old has batted .291 with 139 home runs, 773 RBI, and 235 stolen bases.
