Coco Johnson is in his third year with the ThunderBolts and fifth as a pro in 2017. He signed with Windy City on February 6, 2015. In his first year with the Bolts, he led the team in hits (106), doubles (26) and stolen bases (30). He followed that up with a 48 stolen base season in 2016 and was named a midseason all-star. Coco began his professional career in 2013, when the Miami Marlins made him their 11th round selection in the June Amateur Draft. In two years with the Marlins, he played at three levels, peaking at high-A Jupiter. Johnson played his final year of college ball at Louisville, where he hit .324 with eight homers and 50 RBIs. He also swiped 22 bases. Prior to Louisville, he was a two-year member of Central Arizona College, where he helped his team to a runner-up finish at the National Junior College Athletic Association World Series in 2011. He also attended Lakeshore High School in St. Clair Shore, Michigan.
