Gillan began his pro career as 17th-round draft pick last year, playing in the Arizona League for the Angels organization.  He went to extended spring training with the Angels this year, before finding his way to the new Peach State League in Georgia.  Jeremy hit nearly .300 in six games for the Robins Aviators before the Saltdogs came calling in July.  The Florida native began his college career at Indian River Community College, starring there for two seasons before transferring to Jacksonville University.  In 2009, his senior season, Gillan led Jacksonville in batting average, doubles, RBI, slugging percentage and on-base percentage, and established himself as one of the best defensive catchers in the country.
