Returning to the Newport Gulls for the second consecutive season, Stone has acquired plenty of experience and versatility during his tenure with the Boston College Eagles. In 2014, the reliever from West Haven, Connecticut went 0-3 with a 3.55 ERA and seven strikeouts in nine appearances (two starts).
Stone is looking to repeat the success he had with the Gulls during the 2013 season. In six appearances with the Gulls in 2013, he went 0-1 with a 3.24 ERA, striking out 11 batters over 8.1 innings of work. 
In his first two seasons with Boston College, Stone combined to go 2-3 with a 6.25 ERA, but did strike out 21 hitters in 40.1 innings of work. While he was in high school, Stone attended West Haven High School (West Haven, CT). There, he made the All-State team, while being named to the Second Team All-Northeast team by Perfect Game USA.
