After waiting in the wings for two seasons, Dillon McNamara has emerged as one of the top pitchers in the Adelphi University pitching staff, cementing himself as a part of the weekend rotation for the Panthers and will surely factor in to the success of the SteepleCats as one of the most experienced collegiate players on the team.

In his junior season, McNamara finished 2-2 in 10 starts for the Division II Panthers. McNamara totaled 61.0 innings of work with 42 strikeouts, ranking second on the team in K's. His 2.36 ERA was the best for the Panthers.

McNamara saw action in just three games – one start – as a sophomore, going 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA after making 18 appearances as a freshman. During his rookie campaign, he was tied for the team lead with two saves and struck out 24 batters over 18 2/3 innings.

The son of Richard and Christina, Dillon was born Oct. 6, 1991.
