Andrew took a redshirt year in 2008, and played in just 26 games for Central Michigan in 2009, but hit .375 with 6 steals and 11 extra-base hits in just 64 at bats. In high school he was named first team all-state as a senior in 2007 and also led his team in runs (59), triples (7), home runs (5), stolen bases (16), and on-base percentage (.504). His speed should come in handy for the Honkers on the base paths, and also should allow him to track down some balls deep in the gaps at Mayo Field this summer. He joins William Arnold as the two Central Michigan Chippewas on the 2009 Rochester Honkers roster.
