Kohli wrapped up this spring as one of the anchors of the Illinois State offense. He started 46 of the 48 Redbird games and finished the year with a .308 average with three home runs and 32 RBI.

Prior to Illinois State, Kohli spent two seasons at Madison Area Technical College, earning Third Team All-America Honors in 2008. That year he hit .375 with 15 doubles posted a 5-3 record with a 3.46 ERA on the mound en route earning All-Conference and All-Region honors.

Kohli spent a majority of his time on the mound for MATC in 2007, saving three games and striking out 42 in 42.2 innings. He also hit .275 in 19 games for the Wolfpack.
