Friday was a great day for Chad Blackwell, as Blackwell struck out nine batters to carry the Maui Na Koa Ikaika (24-22) to an 8-1 victory over the San Rafael Pacifics (28-18) at Iron Maehara Stadium.

The Maui Na Koa Ikaika blew out the San Rafael Pacifics thanks to eight hits, including zero extra base hits. A three-run double by Gered Mochizuki helped the Maui Na Koa Ikaika score three runs in the third. The Maui Na Koa Ikaika had three hits in the inning.

Alan Rick reached base three times in the game for the Maui Na Koa Ikaika. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

Matthew Durkin (3-6) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked four and struck out one.
