Thursday was a great day for Matthew Gibbs, as Gibbs threw seven scoreless innings to carry the Sonoma County Grapes (7-8) to a 1-0 victory over the Maui Na Koa Ikaika (6-9) at Iron Maehara Stadium.

Jessie Smith (1-2) took the loss for the Maui Na Koa Ikaika. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed one run.
