The San Rafael Pacifics offense too much for the Hawaii Stars in 10-2 rout

The San Rafael Pacifics (21-12) jumped out to an early lead on the Hawaii Stars (18-15) and captured a 10-2 victory on Thursday at Albert Park.

With five runs in the first three innings, the San Rafael Pacifics left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A groundout by Johnny Woodard, a groundout by Maikel Jova, an RBI single by Matthew Alton, and a hit by pitch during the first inning and an RBI single by Alton in the second inning fueled the San Rafael Pacifics' offense early.

Jova racked up two RBIs on three hits for the San Rafael Pacifics.

Jake Rasner struck out eight hitters en route to the the San Rafael Pacifics win. Rasner allowed two earned runs on six hits and one walk over seven innings.

Dion Pouncil racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Hawaii Stars. He homered in the fifth inning.

Bryan Herrera (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out four.
