Story by Narrative Science.

The Chicago Zephyrs (12-20) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the DuPage County Hounds (18-16), recording a 14-6 victory on Tuesday at Benedictine Stadium.

Twelve runs in the first three innings allowed the Chicago Zephyrs to put the game away early.

A two-run double by Drew Bailey, a passed ball, a groundout by Luke Collins, and a groundout by Collins in the first inning supplied the early offense for the Chicago Zephyrs.

Ryan Payne went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Chicago Zephyrs. He singled in the second, fifth, and seventh innings.

Charles Gould racked up two RBIs on three hits for the DuPage County Hounds. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.

Even though Christopher Anderson allowed six runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his third of the season. Anderson struck out six, walked five and gave up eight hits.

Max Allen (0-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
