Five runs in the opening three innings allowed the Fort Worth Cats to easily put away the Abilene Prairie Dogs. An RBI single by Chad Gabriel and a passed ball during the first inning helped the Fort Worth Cats put some runs on the board early.
Gabriel racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Fort Worth Cats.
Billy Petrick couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Abilene Prairie Dogs, taking a loss. He lasted just eight innings, walked none, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
