Things looked bleak for the Badrocks (9-11) when they trailed by five runs in the sixth inning, but the Badrocks recovered thanks to a key double in the seventh inning from Matt Colitti to pull out an 11-9 win in seven innings over the Louisville Chuggers (2-16) at Diamond In The Pines two.
With the score tied at nine in the seventh inning, Colitti came to the plate and doubled, bringing home Wally Mitchell and Lou Puleo.
Colitti racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Badrocks. He doubled in the sixth and seventh innings.
The two teams combined for 20 runs and 30 hits, including zero extra base hits.
Puleo had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the first inning, homered in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.
Kevin Wilson racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Louisville Chuggers. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the first, third, and seventh innings.
The Badrocks pounded the Louisville Chuggers pitching, as six hitters combined for 13 hits, nine RBIs and seven runs scored.
