A 14-run explosion in the third inning led the SIMPLY GREEN (6-7) to a 27-1 win in three innings over the EMPIRE FACILITIES (2-14) at East Islip Marina Field #1 on Wednesday.

Gary Patanjo racked up six RBIs on three hits for the SIMPLY GREEN. He doubled in the first inning, homered in the second inning, and singled in the third inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the EMPIRE FACILITIES' Nick Terlizzo. Terlizzo went 2-2 and drove in one. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the third inning.

Patanjo recorded his fourth win of the year for the SIMPLY GREEN. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Fred Hodgeson was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 27 runs in three innings, walked nine and struck out none.

The SIMPLY GREEN pounded the EMPIRE FACILITIES pitching, as nine hitters combined for 23 hits, 27 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
