George Politis went 4-4 at the plate, sparking the south shore brewers (8-7) to a 12-7 victory in seven innings over the Mutants (3-14) on Tuesday at East Islip Marina Field #4.

Jake Farley went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Mutants. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

Mike Handwerker recorded his first win for the south shore brewers even though he allowed seven runs over seven innings. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered 14 hits.

Joe Mahler couldn't get it done on the bump for the Mutants, taking a loss. He allowed 12 runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out three.
