Offenses dominate as the Frozen Ropes outscore the Metropolitan AllStars 12-9

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Frozen Ropes (16-6) outscored the Metropolitan AllStars (3-19) 12-9 in seven innings.

The teams totaled 32 hits in the game.

Mike Lee pushed the Frozen Ropes ahead, in the seventh inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. With the score tied at nine, Lee came to the plate and homered, scoring Matt Jackson.

Lee racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Frozen Ropes. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Tom Pennino put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Frozen Ropes. He doubled in the third inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Charlie Dvorak went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Metropolitan AllStars. He singled in the third and fifth innings and tripled in the sixth inning.

Greg Murphy recorded his second win for the Frozen Ropes even though he allowed nine runs over seven innings. Murphy struck out one, walked five and gave up 10 hits.

john johnston (2-9) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 12 runs in seven innings, walked five and struck out none.

The Frozen Ropes pounded the Metropolitan AllStars pitching, as six hitters combined for 16 hits, eight RBIs and 10 runs scored.
