The F-14 (15-9) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Jokers (9-15), recording a 14-6 victory on Sunday at Raynor Park two.

Eight runs in the first three innings allowed the F-14 to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Rob Vasquez and an RBI single by Dennis PopickSr in the first inning and an RBI triple by Matt Duran and an RBI single by Joey Thaw during the second inning supplied the early offense for the F-14.

Ray Sonenberg racked up four RBIs on four hits for the F-14. He singled in the first, third, fifth, and sixth innings.

Rob Haas was hot from the plate for the Jokers. Haas went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Sonenberg recorded his first win for the F-14 even though he allowed six runs over seven innings. Sonenberg struck out one, walked three and gave up 14 hits.

Joe Leo was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 14 runs in six innings, walked five and struck out none.
