The MCI 2 fight back, defeat the Estee Lauder A Team, 13-11

The MCI two (12-4) trailed by seven in the second, but the MCI two recovered thanks to a key single in the fifth inning from Joe Cocoa to pull out a 13-11 win in seven innings over the Estee Lauder A Team (10-12) at Clarissa Drive Field on Thursday.

With the score tied at 10, Cocoa came to the plate and singled, scoring John Burns.

It was a good day at the plate for the MCI two's Cocoa. Cocoa went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 24 total runs and 39 hits during the game.

The MCI two would not relinquish the lead as the Estee Lauder A Team were unable to weather a three-run fifth inning deficit.

The Estee Lauder A Team scored one run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Felton Winters. Still, the Estee Lauder A Team couldn't catch the MCI two.

Jesse O'keefe had two extra-base hits for the MCI two. He tripled in the second and fifth innings.

MannyMaceda recorded his fifth win for the MCI two even though he allowed 11 runs over seven innings. He struck out none, walked three and surrendered 19 hits.

Winters (5-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 13 runs in six innings, walked none and struck out none.

The MCI two hammered the Estee Lauder A Team pitching as eight hitters had a field day, combining for 18 hits, 13 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
