Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Monday as the one 800 CHIMNEY (8-7) outscored the Marinelli Jewelers (6-15) 19-11 in six innings.
The two teams combined for 54 hits in the game.
Fourteen runs in the opening three innings allowed the one 800 CHIMNEY to easily put away the Marinelli Jewelers. A two-run single by Dave Clark and a sacrifice fly by Mike Steeneck during the first inning and a two-run double by Mike Amy, a two-run double by Jesse Diemer, an RBI double by Scott Sessa, and an RBI single by Jeff Smith in the second inning fueled the one 800 CHIMNEY's offense early.
Sessa put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the one 800 CHIMNEY.
Jeff Smith racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Marinelli Jewelers. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.
The one 800 CHIMNEY easily handled the Marinelli Jewelers pitching as eight hitters combined for 31 hits, three RBIs and 18 runs scored.
