John Popowitch had three extra base hits to carry the Broderick Express (6-13) to a 30-21 win over the Metropolitan AllStars (2-17) at Bretton Woods in seven innings.

Popowitch racked up 11 RBIs on four hits for the Broderick Express. He doubled in the second inning, tripled in the third inning, homered in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

brian aickey rocked the Broderick Express with two home runs. Aickey went 2-5 in the game with four RBIs and three runs scored. Aickey homered in the second and seventh innings.

Offense was not hard to come by on on Sunday, as both teams combined for 51 runs and 53 hits, including zero extra base hits.

Cucciniello got his fourth win for the Broderick Express despite allowing 21 runs over seven innings. Cucciniello struck out three, walked four and gave up 23 hits.

doug brussell ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his eighth loss of the year. He allowed 30 runs in seven innings, walked one and struck out none.

The Broderick Express pounded the Metropolitan AllStars pitching, as eight hitters combined for 28 hits, 28 RBIs and 29 runs scored.
