The SHORTBUS TYJA SOFTBALL (16-4) failed to take advantage of Kevin Flaherty's effort at the plate on Thursday, losing 15-14 to the Wicked Sticks (Spa Exoti (11-5) in seven innings at Wave Ave.

Flaherty racked up eight RBIs on three hits for the SHORTBUS TYJA SOFTBALL. He homered in the first and second innings and singled in the seventh inning.

The Wicked Sticks (Spa Exoti were in a difficult situation in the fourth inning before they recovered for the win.

Mike Johnstone went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Wicked Sticks (Spa Exoti. He singled in the second and fourth innings and homered in the seventh inning.

The two teams combined for 29 runs and 44 hits, including zero extra base hits.

Even though Steve Chorzepa allowed 14 runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his fourth of the season. He struck out none, walked three and surrendered 25 hits.

Vinny Martino (0-1) took the loss for the SHORTBUS TYJA SOFTBALL. He allowed 15 runs in six innings, walked six and struck out one.
