The Ken Griffey Jrs Slugfest (7-9) rolled over the Top Shelf (8-8) 16-6 on Monday at Dowling College after a nine-run rally in the fifth inning.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to four lead changes in the game.

Josh Bente put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Ken Griffey Jrs Slugfest. He tripled in the third inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

Eddie Franco racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Top Shelf. He homered in the second inning.

Even though James Burns allowed six runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. He struck out two, walked four and surrendered 11 hits.

Joe Goller was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 16 runs in six innings, walked four and struck out none.
