An outstanding effort by John Rockfeld hoisted the MJM (14-3) to a 21-9 win in five innings over the ThE DiRtY BaNaNaS (5-11) on Sunday at Raynor Park one.

Rockfeld racked up eight RBIs on four hits for the MJM. He singled in the second inning and homered in the first, third, and fourth innings.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 30 runs and 35 hits, including zero extra base hits.

Thirteen runs in the opening three innings allowed the MJM to easily put away the ThE DiRtY BaNaNaS. A solo home run by Ryan Schaefer, a solo home run by Jared Schmitt, a solo home run by Rockfeld, and a two-run double by Eric Livodi during the first inning and an RBI single by Rockfeld, a two-run double by Andrew bauer, an RBI triple by John balk, and an RBI single by Livodi in the second inning supplied the early offense for the MJM.

Nicky Wets Viccaro went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the ThE DiRtY BaNaNaS. He singled in the second and fifth innings.

Even though Schmitt allowed nine runs over five innings he still recorded the victory, his second of the season. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered 12 hits.

Tom Cusimano was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 21 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out none.

The MJM hammered the ThE DiRtY BaNaNaS pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 21 hits, 20 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
