The NUGGETS (6-12) shut the door early on the Grindhouse (3-15), capturing a 19-2 victory on Sunday at Bellport Field #1.

With 18 runs in the first three innings, the NUGGETS left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A sacrifice fly by Russ Reener, , a three-run double by Brendan Calcara, an RBI double by Bob Zielimski, a sacrifice fly by Nick, and an RBI single by Brian Farrell during the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Tim Alicen in the second inning helped the NUGGETS put some runs on the board early.

Joey Waiss had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the first and second innings.

The NUGGETS easily handled the Grindhouse pitching as eight hitters combined for 15 hits, 15 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
