The bats were busy at Veterans on Thursday, and when the dust cleared the HOT RODS (12-2) had a 23-14 win over the Badrocks (6-10) in seven innings.

The teams totaled 52 hits in the game.

The HOT RODS blew out the Badrocks thanks to 29 hits, including zero extra base hits. The HOT RODS scored seven runs in the fourth on a single by Tom Flynn, an RBI single by Jay Deabreau, a two-run double by Ryan Lynch, a single by Eric Walter, and a home run by Joe Polese.

Ron Brady racked up three RBIs on four hits for the HOT RODS. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the third, fourth, and fifth innings.

Rich Richardson racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Badrocks. He doubled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and homered in the fifth inning.

Even though Deabreau allowed 14 runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his ninth of the season. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered 23 hits.

Harold Deiters couldn't get it done on the mound for the Badrocks, taking a loss. He allowed 23 runs in six innings, walked two and struck out none.

The HOT RODS hammered the Badrocks pitching as 10 hitters had a field day, combining for 29 hits, 24 RBIs and 23 runs scored.
