The Ford of Smithtown (8-7) and the Big Blue (12-4) volleyed the lead eight times on Sunday, but the Ford of Smithtown came out on top for a 8-7 win on Sunday at Firemens Field In Brookhaven.

Nick put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Ford of Smithtown. He doubled in the second and sixth innings.

Kevin Korte reached base three times in the game for the Big Blue. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Jay Heyman recorded his first win of the year for the Ford of Smithtown. Heyman struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Christian Colantuoni couldn't get it done on the bump for the Big Blue, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in 6 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.

The Ford of Smithtown's Greg, Rob Resti, Daren Mutone and Nick combined for eight hits and seven RBIs.
