A solo home run by Ian Walsh, a single by Timothy Flanagan, and a fielder's choice in the first inning and an RBI triple by Chris Badami and a sacrifice fly by Danielle Rega during the second inning supplied the early offense for the LI Storm CO-ED.Walsh had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits.
The LI Storm CO-ED's Jay Hornick kept the FREE LOADERS off the scoreboard for all five innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up none.
Rick Zoitke couldn't get it done on the rubber for the FREE LOADERS, taking a loss. He allowed 12 runs in four innings, walked none and struck out one.
