Dave Barnes clubbed two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Publichouse 49 (1-10) to a win on Thursday, as the Publichouse 49 fell to the head hunters (5-10) 25-17 at Shorefront Park in seven innings.

Barnes racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Publichouse 49. He homered in the second and third innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 42 total runs and 53 hits during the game.

The head hunters blew out the Publichouse 49 thanks to 30 hits, including zero extra base hits. The head hunters scored 10 runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Danny Desimone, an RBI single by brian russell, a home run by Mike Martin, a solo home run by Ed Inuzzi, an RBI double by Mark Angelo, and a two-run single by Nick Dutka.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fourth, with four lead changes.

Russell recorded his fourth win for the head hunters even though he allowed 17 runs over seven innings. He struck out none, walked eight and surrendered 23 hits.

Barnes (0-1) took the loss for the Publichouse 49. He allowed 25 runs in seven innings, walked seven and struck out none.

The head hunters easily handled the Publichouse 49 pitching as nine hitters combined for 28 hits, 23 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
