Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Tuesday as the MasterBatters(Piotrowski (6-3) outscored the knighthawks (2-7) 18-11 in seven innings.

The two teams combined for 42 hits in the game.

The MasterBatters(Piotrowski blew out the knighthawks thanks to 24 hits, including zero extra base hits. The MasterBatters(Piotrowski scored five runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Steve Guido, a sacrifice fly by Mack Clair, an RBI single by Terry Demaizo, and a two-run double by Steve Zydor.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to six lead changes in the game.

Demaizo racked up three RBIs on four hits for the MasterBatters(Piotrowski.

Sean Piotrowski recorded his fifth win for the MasterBatters(Piotrowski even though he allowed 11 runs over seven innings. Piotrowski struck out none, walked two and gave up 18 hits.

Jeff Hanlon was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed 18 runs in six innings, walked six and struck out none.

The MasterBatters(Piotrowski pounded the knighthawks pitching, as seven hitters combined for 19 hits, 14 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
