Saturday was a great day for Ed Griseti, as he clubbed three home runs to carry the NATION OF DOMINATION (6-8) to a 24-13 victory over the LI COORS CREW (3-11) at Shorefront Park in seven innings.
Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 37 total runs and 50 hits during the game.
The NATION OF DOMINATION blew out the LI COORS CREW thanks to 28 hits, including zero extra base hits. The NATION OF DOMINATION scored 10 runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Dave Fiordilisg, an RBI single by Mike Meier, a sacrifice fly by James Pritt, a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Robert Schwartz, an RBI double by Andrew Schwartz, a single by Pat Brown, and a home run by Griseti.
Wayne Ford racked up three RBIs on three hits for the LI COORS CREW. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second and sixth innings.
Even though Schwartz allowed 13 runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. Schwartz struck out one, walked seven and gave up 22 hits.
Thomas Sulz (0-4) took the loss for the LI COORS CREW. He allowed 24 runs in seven innings, walked none and struck out none.
The NATION OF DOMINATION pounded the LI COORS CREW pitching, as eight hitters combined for 24 hits, 20 RBIs and 17 runs scored.
