Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Hunter Display (4-7) and the Badrocks (5-7), as the two teams put up 26 runs combined in a 14-12 the Hunter Display win.
The teams totaled 38 hits in the game.
The Hunter Display held off the Badrocks, as the Badrocks were unable to overcome a six-run second inning deficit.
The Badrocks scored on a sacrifice fly by Greg Karnbach in the second inning, a two-run single by Peter Apastaledes in the fourth inning, a two-run triple by Matt Timmons and an RBI single by Wally Mitchell in the fifth inning, and an RBI double by Billy Lancaster in the sixth inning. Unfortunately, the Badrocks weren't able to take the lead back.
Mike Campites racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Hunter Display. He tripled in the first inning, singled in the second and fourth innings, and doubled in the sixth inning.
Timmons had three extra-base hits for the Badrocks.
Even though Sandy Stoll allowed 12 runs over six innings he still recorded the victory. Stoll struck out none, walked one and gave up 17 hits.
Karnbach couldn't get it done on the bump for the Badrocks, taking a loss. He allowed 14 runs in six innings, walked four and struck out two.
The Hunter Display easily handled the Badrocks pitching as eight hitters combined for 20 hits, 10 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
