JUSTIN GROSSKURTH hit two home runs to carry the Moonlighters (8-4) to a 17-6 win over the Blue Devils (2-4) at Shorefront Park in five innings.
Sixteen runs in the opening three innings allowed the Moonlighters to easily put away the Blue Devils. A sacrifice fly by FRANK Digregorio, a three-run home run by GROSSKURTH, a single by Travis, an RBI single by Mike Caton, and a groundout by EDDIE TESTER during the first inning and a single by Karl Weidner, a two-run triple by Digregorio, a two-run home run by GROSSKURTH, a sacrifice fly by Ed Guyer, and a sacrifice fly by Travis in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Moonlighters.
Mike Golio did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Blue Devils, reaching base two times. He doubled in the fourth inning.
The Moonlighters pounded the Blue Devils pitching, as seven hitters combined for 18 hits, 16 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
