The Burners outlast the Reeses 1900 in high-scoring affair, 12-11

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Burners (11-1) outscored the Reeses 1900 (10-2) 12-11 in seven innings.

The teams totaled 36 hits in the game.

Brendon Biscardi pushed the Burners ahead, in the sixth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. With the score tied at 11 in the sixth inning, Biscardi came to the plate and homered.

Biscardi racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Burners. He doubled in the second inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Even though John Keeley allowed 11 runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his sixth of the season. He struck out none, walked three and surrendered 21 hits.

Neil Polis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 12 runs in six innings, walked four and struck out one.
