The Wisconsin Woodchucks come from behind to beat the La Crosse Loggers, 5-4

The Wisconsin Woodchucks (29-19) trailed by two in the ninth, but the Wisconsin Woodchucks recovered thanks to a key hit into a fielder's choice in the ninth inning from Brendon Hayden to pull out a 5-4 win over the La Crosse Loggers (32-16) at Athletic Park on Sunday.

With the score tied at four in the ninth inning, Hayden came to the plate and hit into a fielder's choice, scoring Mike Bernal.

Hayden paced the Wisconsin Woodchucks at the plate. Hayden went 2-5 and drove in one. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third innings.

Skyler Ewing racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Jack Fischer baffled the La Crosse Loggers, striking out six batters. Fischer allowed three earned runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings.

Richard Prigatano racked up three RBIs on three hits for the La Crosse Loggers. He doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the sixth inning, and homered in the ninth inning.

Austin Stadler improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He allowed one run over two innings. Stadler struck out two, walked none and gave up two hits.

Jonathan Van Eaton was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
